KS2 SATs question papers and mark schemes are Crown copyright, published by the Standards and Testing Agency (STA), an executive agency of the Department for Education, and reproduced here under the Open Government Licence v3.0. The Maths and GPS papers contain no third-party material.
Reading booklets are different. They include extracts and photographs owned by third parties, which the OGL does not cover and which remain the property of their owners. The DfE publishes a copyright ownership report with each year's tests. For the years still published by the STA (2024, 2025, 2026) we link to the reading texts on GOV.UK rather than hosting them; see the STA's past test materials.
